
HARROGATE, Tenn. --- The Lincoln Memorial volleyball team posted a .202 hitting percentage, while tallying 14 team blocks in the Railsplitters 3-0 sweep over Tusculum Tuesday night at Mary Mars Gym.
LMU (13-12, 8-9 South Atlantic Conference) won the match by scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-20 to split the season series with the Pioneers (14-13, 9-8 SAC).
Tusculum finished the match with 35 kills and 30 errors in its 127 attempts for a .039 attack percentage. TC also had six service errors, five receptions errors and two ball handling errors
Kiera Holland accounted for eight kills to lead LMU, while the setter tandem of Olivia Brock and Danielle Stachura with 14 and 11 assists, respectively. Erica Whiteaker led all players with 22 digs to go along with her three service aces. Tone Gill had eight blocks, while Danielle Ged contributed six rejections for the Railsplitters.
Laryssa Welch led TC with a match-high nine kills and a .368 hitting percentage, while Sabrina Schleuger finished with seven kills. Shannon Murphy dished out 26 assists to add to her five kills and a .500 attack percentage. TC libero Melissa Mazur made 20 digs in the loss
Tusculum will look to snap its season-long four-match losing streak when they travel to Newberry on Friday for a 7 p.m. match at Eleazer Arena.
