--- Tusculum College senior Caitlyn Dean has been named to the 2013 Daktronics NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region Volleyball First Team.

Dean becomes the first four-time All-Region selection in program history and advances to the Daktonics All-America ballot. Dean, a libero/defensive specialist from Fort Wayne, Ind., is leading the South Atlantic Conference in digs for a fourth consecutive season, averaging 6.06 per set, which is currently seventh in the nation.

The two-time Daktronics All-America first team selection became Division II's all-time digs leader earlier this season. Her 3,164 career digs are the ninth most for all NCAA divisions. The Northrop High School graduate is second in DII history in career digs per average (6.86 dps) and her 113 career service aces are the seventh most in Tusculum history.

During her 123-match career, Dean has accounted for an amazing 40 contests with 30 or more digs, including seven times in 2013. Her 703 total digs this year are the third most in TC history.

Dean is a four-time All-South Atlantic Conference first team selection and is a two-time Capital One Academic All-District first team choice.

The Pioneers (21-10) are the No. 4 seed in this year's NCAA II Southeast Regional and will face fifth-seeded Anderson University this Thursday in a 5 p.m. quarterfinal match at Cuddy Arena on the campus of Wingate University. It will be a rematch of last month's SAC Tournament semifinal as Anderson outlasted Tusculum in a five-set marathon.

Tusculum is making its fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance as the Pioneers have already clinched the program's eighth straight winning campaign and 22nd year with 20 victories.
