GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Katie Luebke recorded 17 kills and four blocks to lead the Tusculum College volleyball team to a 3-1 win over visiting Brevard College Saturday morning at Pioneer Arena. Tusculum (19-7) wins its 11th consecutive match, while Brevard falls to 12-8 on the year. TC won by scores of 20-30, 30-25, 30-20, 30-20.
Vivian Lacy added 15 kills and 20 digs, while Kelsey Hayden finished with 14 kills and five blocks in the victory. Mariana Rezende added 31 assists, while Brittany Oblinger also contributed 20 helpers for the Pioneers.
Brevard's Brooke Seaman led the Tornados with 17 kills, while Brittany Holliday led BC's defensive efforts with 25 digs.
Tusculum returns to action Friday when they host South Atlantic Conference leader Wingate University for a 7 p.m. match at Pioneer Arena. Wingate leads the SAC by one game ahead of second-place Tusculum, whose last loss game against the Bulldogs last month.
Saturday's match was designated "Dig for the Cure" Day as both teams collected proceeds to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Each team recorded 64 digs each (128 overall).
