
ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum University is represented on the All-South Atlantic Conference Women's Tennis team for the 2025 season, the SAC office announced Tuesday.
Senior Elodie Baechler was voted second-team All-SAC in singles, and has been honored as second-team All-SAC in doubles for the third straight year, joined by junior Ylva Frafjord Landa.
Baechler played in all 12 conference matches for the Pioneers and compiled a 5-0 record with seven unfinished matches. All five of her wins came at flight one and in straight sets, and she led in four of the seven contests that were unfinished.
The La Rippe, Switzerland native had an overall record of 7-3 in singles this season and finished her career with a 49-39 mark in singles play.
In doubles, Baechler and Landa teamed up at flight one in all 12 league contests and went 5-2 with five incomplete matches. The duo led in three of their five unfinished matches, and had an overall record of 8-7 with four victories by 6-0 scores.
Baechler had a career record in doubles of 49-47, while Landa, a native of Sandnes, Norway, is 40-28 in three seasons of doubles with the Pioneers.
Sofia Antolini of Catawba was named Player of the Year, with Freshman of the Year honors to Ilona Hernandez-Sanchez of Coker. Mic Moore of Catawba was voted Coach of the Year after leading the Indians to an undefeated regular season and the program's first-ever SAC regular season championship.
Tusculum finished the 2025 season with a 4-14 overall record and in 10th place in the SAC with a 3-9 league record.
