TEMPE, Ariz. --- Tusculum University senior Julia Lopez is ranked 16th in the latest Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II Southeast Region Women's Singles Rankings, the ITA announced Wednesday.

Lopez, who was listed 16th in the previous regional singles rankings released in November following the conclusion of the fall season, went 5-3 during the abbreviated spring schedule including a perfect 3-0 mark in conference matches. The Zaragoza, Spain native led the Pioneers with a 14-5 record in singles matches during the 2019-20 season and has a career mark of 46-20 in singles at Tusculum.

The Pioneers were among 12 teams that received votes outside the top 25 in the ITA Division II Women's National Team Rankings. Tusculum went 6-3 overall and 2-1 in South Atlantic Conference competition this season, with two of their three losses coming to teams ranked in the current top 10 -- Indianapolis (5th) and North Georgia (10th).
