GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Anderson University won five of six singles matches in a 6-1 victory over 17th-ranked Tusculum University Wednesday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.
The Trojans (11-3, 1-2 SAC) picked up the doubles point, and claimed three straight-set wins in singles to defeat the Pioneers (4-3, 1-1 SAC).
In doubles, Emilie Hansen and Amber Lackey claimed a win at flight one with a 6-4 victory over Cameron Blanchard and Carrigan Blanchard. In singles, Julia Lopez went to a tiebreaker before beating Carrigan Blanchard at flight two by a score of 6-2, 2-6, (10-8).
The Pioneers will travel to Coker for a SAC match against the Cobras on Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m.
