Pioneers capture 7-0 win over Young Harris

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. --- Tusculum University earned a 7-0 victory over Young Harris College in non-conference women's tennis action Sunday afternoon.

The Pioneers (3-1) won all four singles and two doubles matches that were contested by the Mountain Lions (0-4), who had four players available for the match.

In doubles, Annie McCullough and Caitlin McCullough beat Oriana Labaqui and Ana Rodriguez 6-0 at flight one, and Julia Lopez teamed with Africa Mota for a 6-1 win over Carol Quevedo and Milica Dabic to clinch the point for the Pioneers.

In singles, Lopez beat Dabic 6-3, 6-0 at flight four to give the Pioneers the match victory. Caitlin McCullough won 6-3, 6-2 over Quevedo at flight three, Annie McCullough won 6-3, 6-1 against Labaqui at flight one, and Emilie Hansen closed the match with a 6-3, 7-5 victory over Rodriguez at flight two.

The Pioneers will finish their Georgia road trip on Monday with a match at North Georgia beginning at 1 p.m.
