BREVARD, N.C. --- The 31st ranked Tusculum College women's tennis team wrapped up the 2015 regular season with an 8-1 win over Brevard College on Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Pioneers (18-1, 10-1 SAC) clinch second place in the South Atlantic Conference.

TC began the day with three wins against the Tornados (1-16, 0-11) in doubles play. Franziska Funke and Amanda Summer stayed undefeated in the top flight. The duos of Kealee Heffner and Erin Mills and Kate Hutchinson and Emily Waters were both 8-0 winners in the second and third spots respectively.

Mills and Funke earned points for the Pioneers with wins in the second and third singles spots. Kate Hutchinson was a winner at number four while Sarah Baker didn't drop a game in her win in the fifth position. Sumner also returned to singles play and picked up a win in the sixth flight.

TC will next be in action at the SAC Tournament beginning on Thursday. Official seeding and match times will be announced later this evening.
