
The 11th-ranked Francis Marion University Women's tennis team
defeated Tusculum College 8-1 in a non-conference Women's tennis
match Saturday afternoon.
The Patriots (11-1) won all six singles matches in straight sets
against the Pioneers (6-2), including ranked players Mona Blauen at
flight one and Julia Graf at flight three.
Tusculum's lone point came in doubles play, as Taylor Patterson and
Erin Mills teamed for an 8-6 win over Tereza Baranova and Nora
Westbye at flight two. It was the third win in five matches for the
duo this season.
The Pioneers will remain in the Palmetto State for three matches at
the Spring Break Bash in Hilton Head Island, beginning Monday at 3
p.m. against Baldwin-Wallace.
