
GREER, S.C. --- The Tusculum College women's tennis team recorded its third straight victory with Saturday's 9-0 shutout over host North Greenville University.
The Pioneers (4-1) swept all three doubles matches, dropping only a combine four points.
The No. 1 doubles duo of Holly Verner and Katelyn Doss opened with an 8-1 pro set win over Aline Rigeiro and Muriel Adib. The TC pairing of Megan Buckmaster and Kate Hutchinson also tallied an 8-1 win at third flight over NGU's Victoria Gomez and Mariana Vick.
TC captured all of the singles matches in straight sets, including Courtney Conley's 6-3, 7-6 (7-5) win at the third flight over Cassie Curtis.
Tusculum also got singles points from Verner, Doss, Taylor Patterson, Buckmaster and Hutchinson.
The Pioneers remain on the road on Sunday and will square off against Belmont Abbey College for a 1 p.m. contest in Belmont, N.C.
