NO. 9 FRANCIS MARION HANDS NO. 27 Women's TENNIS FIRST LOSS OF SEASON

Tusculum Pioneers GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The No. 9 Francis Marion University women's tennis team (9-1) defeated No. 27 Tusculum College (7-1) 9-0 at the Nichols Tennis Complex on Saturday morning for its eighth consecutive victory, while handing the Pioneers their first loss of the season.

Francis Marion swept each match in singles play in straight sets, surrendering a total of three frames. The Patriots then won the day's three doubles matches 8-0, 8-3, and 8-3 to register their eighth straight 9-0 win.
The Pioneers are back in action at the Hilton Head Island Tournament March 8-11 in Hilton Head Island, S.C.
