ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum University freshman goalkeeper Bailey Bosler has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Week in women's soccer for the week ending Oct. 7, the SAC office announced Tuesday.
Bosler made six saves as the Pioneers upset 12th-ranked Carson-Newman 2-1 Wednesday night in her only action of the week. Bosler had three saves in each half as the Pioneers snapped the Eagles' 18-match conference regular-season winning streak and 17-match conference home winning streak.
The Waterloo, Illinois native has made four starts this season for the Pioneers, compiling a 2-2 record with a 1.50 goals against average and a .806 save percentage, along with one shutout.
The Pioneers (5-4-2, 3-2-1 SAC) host Shaw in a non-conference match Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Pioneer Field.
