AUSTIN, Texas --- Tusculum College midfielder
Nikki Arthur has been named to the 2014 Capital One Academic
All-District 3 Women's Soccer first team as selected by the College
Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Arthur advances to the Capital One Academic All-America®
ballot, which will be announced next month.
Arthur, a senior from Brights Grove, Ontario, Canada, has a 3.85 cumulative grade point average as a medical pre-professional major.
The 2014 Preseason All-South Atlantic Conference second team selection has led the Pioneers to a 10-6-1 record this season, including 6-4 in conference play. TC has already clinched its fourth straight 10-win season and the 17th straight non-losing campaign in program history.
Arthur scored match-winning goal in TC's 4-1 SAC win at Anderson earlier this month for her third match-winner in her career.
She has not missed an outing in her 74-match career at Tusculum, earning a start in every contest the last two seasons.
Arthur was named the 2011-2012 Tusculum Freshman Student-Athlete of the Year and is also a member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Tusculum Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Dean's List and Charles Oliver Gray Honors List.
Members of the Capital One Academic All-District 3 Team are selected by CoSIDA, which includes all colleges and universities in the South Atlantic Conference, Conference Carolinas and Peach Belt Conference.
