The Tusculum College Women's soccer team posted its third straight shutout victory with a 3-0 win over Nova Southeastern University on the final day of the Georgia College Bobcat Shootout Sunday morning.

Tramicka James continued her early-season scoring barrage with her fourth goal in two games, and Taylor Lewis added her first career goal for the Pioneers (4-1-0), who are off to their best start since opening the 2006 season with a 4-0-1 record.

James, who scored a natural hat trick in the Pioneers' 4-0 victory over eighth-ranked Saint Leo on Friday, opened the scoring for the Pioneers with her fifth goal of the season at 7:03, assisted by Monica Perez.

The Pioneers caught a break at 36:44 when the Sharks scored an own goal following a Tusculum corner kick, giving the Pioneers a 2-0 lead. Lewis extended the Tusculum lead to 3-0 at 40:41 as she scored on her own rebound after receiving a pass from Amy Neltner.

Tusculum did not allow Nova Southeastern to rally, limiting the Sharks to just five shots in the second half and eight for the match. The Pioneers finished with 15 shots, including 12 in the first half. Both teams took four corner kicks and each side was called for seven fouls.

Marissa Williams made three saves in goal for the Pioneers to notch her second straight shutout and extend her streak of consecutive scoreless minutes to 259 minutes spanning four matches. Amanda Kopale started in goal for the Sharks and made two saves, while Melissa Jasczak did not see any shots on goal in the second half.

Tusculum returns home to square off with UNC Pembroke in a non-conference match Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Pioneer Field.
