The Tusculum College Women's soccer team is included in the
weekly NCAA Division II statistical report, through games of Oct.
8, the NCAA announced Tuesday.
Individually, junior forward Tramicka James and freshman goalkeeper
Marissa Williams are ranked in the top 30 in a combined five
categories as they have helped the Pioneers to an overall record of
8-3-0 and a 3-0-0 mark in the South Atlantic Conference.
James (Wilson, N.C.) has 10 goals and 23 points through the
Pioneers' first 11 games, resulting in a ranking of 14th in total
goals, 16th in goals per game (0.909), 16th in points per game
(2.09) and 21st in total points.
Williams (Canton, Mich.) ranks 26th in save percentage (.861),
having made 62 saves while conceding just 10 goals in 10
matches.
Among the 330 Division II programs ranked in this week's report,
the Pioneers are ranked in the top 50 in four of the five team
categories -- shutout percentage (.455), winning percentage (.727),
scoring offense (2.18 goals per game) and save percentage
(.828).
Tusculum continues its SAC schedule on Tuesday night at Wingate,
with a match beginning at 7 p.m.
