The Pioneers fell five spots from third in the previous rankings, posting a 0-2 mark last week against King (Tenn.) and Wingate. Columbus State holds the top spot in the region with a 15-3 in-region record, while UNC Pembroke and Carson-Newman round out the top three. Armstrong Atlantic ranks fourth, followed by Georgia College & State, Wingate and Catawba. Tusculum holds the eighth spot in the poll ahead of Belmont Abbey and Lenoir-Rhyne.
Tusculum concludes its regular season with a South Atlantic Conference match against Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday at Pioneer Field. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. following senior recognition.
