Women's Lacrosse

Zoe Pekins joined Tusculum University as assistant women's lacrosse coach in the summer of 2023.

Pekins has been involved in women's lacrosse both as a player at the Division I level and as a coach at the club and high school levels. She most recently served as junior varsity head coach at Liberty High School in Sykesville, Maryland for the 2023 season.

Pekins, a native of Columbia, Maryland, was a four-year letterwinner and two-year starter at midfield for the University of Maryland, Baltimore County from 2017-20. Pekins scored 41 goals and had five assists for 46 points in 57 career games at UMBC, while adding 45 draw controls and 39 ground balls along with 29 caused turnovers. She was team captain for the Retrievers during the 2020 season.

While at UMBC, Pekins was an assistant coach for the 2023 HoCo girls lacrosse team. After graduating, Pekins began as head coach of the Maryland United Coast Selects 2024 team.

Pekins was involved in sports marketing and recreation during her time at UMBC, including taking pictures and video of sporting events and supervising a staff of 20 as a recreation manager.

Pekins graduated from UMBC with a bachelor of arts degree in media and communication studies, with a minor in social welfare.
