GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University women's lacrosse team will play in support of "Morgan's Message" when the Pioneers host Anderson University on Saturday, March 22 at 1 p.m. at Pioneer Field.
Morgan's Message was founded to honor the life and legacy of Morgan Rodgers, a former Duke University women's lacrosse student-athlete who passed away in July, 2019 following mental health struggles. Morgan's Message was created by her family and former teammates with the mission to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health, normalize the conversations about mental health and to ensure that mental health is treated equally to physical health for all student-athletes.
The Pioneers were scheduled to host a free clinic for girls in grades 4 to 12 on Friday, but that event has been postponed to a future date that will be announced.
The Morgan's Message Education Program supports motivated students to become active ambassadors and advocates of student-athlete mental health on their high school and college campuses. For more information on Morgan's Message, visit morgansmessage.org.
