BREVARD, N.C. --- The Tusculum University women's lacrosse team fell 16-6 to Catawba College in South Atlantic Conference women's lacrossse action Saturday afternoon at Ives-Lemel Field on the campus of Brevard College.
Katie Barth scored four goals, Erin Green had three goals and an assist and Gianna Pezzulo had two goals and three assists for the Indians (8-8, 5-3 SAC), who led 10-2 at halftime and outshot the Pioneers by a 37-23 margin.
Brittany Lowery led the Pioneers (4-12, 2-6 SAC) with two goals and an assist while Eliza Ryan, Meaghan Smith, Rachel Holmes and Juliette Cusano also scored goals for the Pioneers. Emily Youngblood had two assists for Tusculum.
Tusculum goalkeeper Kate Pipkin finished with 15 saves, while Catawba starting goalie Aryn Dorr had eight saves in 46 minutes and Grace Brennen had one in the final 14 minutes.
