ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. --- The Tusculum University women's golf team finished tied for fifth place following the final day of The St. Simons Intercollegiate. The Pioneers finished with a 54-hole score of 940, which is the fifth lowest team total in program history.

Tusculum posted a 315 in its final round on Tuesday as Reagan Padilla and Maylei Hildenbrand each carded scores of 74 to close out the 14-team event.

Flagler led wire-to-wire while running away with the team title as the Saints posted a two-over par total of 866, winning by a remarkable 49 strokes over runner-up and host Lincoln Memorial (915).

Padilla finished tied for seventh place individually with her three-round total of 224, which was one shot off her career best for 54 holes and tied for the seventh-lowest tournament total in program history. It was her second straight top-10 finish this fall and the 13th of her career which is tied for the eighth-most by a Pioneer. It was also her 17th career top-20 performance (T10th in TU history).

Hildenbrand, a freshman from Greeneville, Tennessee, finished in sole possession of ninth place with her 77-74-74=225 for the 11th lowest 54-hole total in school history.
