GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Eight colleges and universities including host Tusculum will be represented this week at the 26th annual Agnes McAmis Memorial Women's Golf Invitational at Link Hills Country Club.
The two-day, 36-hole tournament will be played this Monday and Tuesday (Mar. 18-19) with tee times scheduled to being at 9:30 a.m. both days on the par-71, 5,843-yard layout.
Joining the Pioneers at this year's event are: Davis & Elkins College, King University, Mars Hill University, Midway University, Milligan University, UVA Wise and Young Harris College. States represented include: Tennessee (Tusculum, King, Milligan), North Carolina (Mars Hill), Kentucky (Midway), Georgia (Young Harris) and West Virginia (Davis & Elkins).
Tusculum has won the McAmis Memorial eight times, including: 1998, 1999, 2000, 2012, 2013, 2018, 2021 and 2022. King also won this event in 2017.
TU sophomore Reagan Padilla recorded her second victory of the year at last week's Converse Invitational. She posted a two-over par 72-74=146 to win by one stroke. Her other win came in September at the King Invitational in Bristol. Padilla enters this week with a 75.2 stroke average and has accounted for six top-20 finishes this season including four times in the top-five.
A Tusculum golfer has claimed McAmis medalist honors on five occasions including: Erin Bradbury (1998), Jillian Corum (2012), Ciara Rattana (2018), Jennifer Keim (2021) and Nilubol Panno (2022).
