SALISBURY, N.C. --- The Tusculum University women's golf team finished fifth at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational at the Country Club of Salisbury. The Pioneers posted a team score of 945 which is the seventh-lowest 54-hole score in program history.

Tusculum sophomore Reagan Padilla was the top finisher for the Pioneers as she carded a career-low 225 including a final round 75 to tie for fifth place honors. Her 225 is also the sixth-lowest 54-hole total in school history.

Anderson University, the seventh-ranked team in NCAA Division II, rallied to win the team title as the Trojans shot 899 including a 295 on Tuesday. AU wins the title by 10 shots over runner-up Lenoir-Rhyne (909). USC Beaufort was third with 932, followed by host Catawba (934) and Tusculum (945) to round out the top-five.

Mount Olive shot 957 to finish sixth, followed by Erskine (960), UVA Wise (977), Emory & Henry (984), UNC Pembroke (996) and Barton (1048).

USC Beaufort's Ashleigh Mead won medalist honors as she carded 71-71-76=218, three stroke ahead of runner-up Aly Francis of Anderson (76-73-72).

TU freshman Anna Ahonen tied for 12^th place with 77-75-77=229 and senior Emilie Bergh-Jacobsen placed 30^th with 81-79-80=240. Senior Adrienne O'Brien was 40^th with 84-84-85=253, while sophomore Lindsay Self finished 44^th with 86-86-83= 255.

Tusculum will be in action Oct. 16-17 at the St. Simons Intercollegiate in Georgia.
