Pioneers release 2023 women's golf fall schedule

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University women's golf team will play in four tournaments to open the 2023-24 season with the release of the fall schedule announced TU head coach Hunter Chandley. (Schedule)

The Pioneers will play in four states with one tournament in September and three events in October.

Tusculum will open the season Sep. 25-26 for the King Invitational at the Golf Club of Bristol. TU finished fifth at last year's King tournament as rising sophomore Reagan Padilla posted a top-10 finish in her collegiate debut.

The Pioneers will be at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational Oct. 2-3 for Catawba's annual fall event. This will also serve as a preview event for this spring's South Atlantic Conference Championship, which will be also held at the Country Club of Salisbury.

On Oct. 16-17, Tusculum will be at the St. Simons Intercollegiate in Georgia which will be hosted by Lincoln Memorial University at The King and Prince Golf Club.

The fall season comes to a close Oct. 30-31 as the Pioneers travel to Inman, South Carolina for the Converse Fall Invitational, which will be contested at Woodfin Ridge Golf Club.

The 2024 spring schedule will be completed and announced later this fall. TU has three regular-season tournaments currently scheduled including the 26th annual Agnes McAmis Memorial at Link Hills Country Club (Mar. 18-19).

The 2024 SAC Championship is slated for Apr. 14-16 in Salisbury.

"We are super excited for our women's team this year. Our fall schedule is set up great and we look forward to getting started and competing at the highest level," Chandley said. "Coming off last year's sixth place finish at conference was a big confidence boost for our women's program and we hope to continue that into the fall."

The Pioneers return four letter-winners from last year's club which finished in the top-10 on five occasions including a sixth-place showing at the SAC Championship, its best league finish in six years.
