BRISTOL, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University women's golf team posted a score of 324 for a second consecutive day as the Pioneers finished fifth at the 2022 King University Invitational. The two-day, 36-hole event was being host by King at the par-71, 5,852-yard Golf Club of Bristol.
Tusculum finished with a two-day tally of 648. Converse led wire-to-wire to claim the team title with 605, including Tuesday's final round 298. North Greenville finished runner-up with 634, followed by Erskine (643), Belmont Abbey (645), Tusculum, Emmanuel (654), King (667) and Emory & Henry (682).
Tusculum's Nilubol Panno finished tied for second individually as she posted 73-78=151, five shots behind tournament medalist Ava O'Sullivan of Converse (74-72=146). Panno earns All-Tournament honors at the King Invitational for a second straight year.
TU freshman Reagan Padilla recorded a top-10 finish in her collegiate debut event as she carded 76-78=154 to finish in sole possession of seventh place.
Tusculum's Adrienne O'Brien moved up seven spots on the leaderboard to finished 31st with 90-81=171. Emilie Jacobsen placed 37th with 85-88=173, while Lindsay Self placed 43rd with 98-87=185.
Tusculum returns to action next week (Oct. 3-4) as they compete at the Patsy Rendleman Invitational in Salisbury, North Carolina.
