SALISBURY, N.C. --- The Tusculum University women's golf team posted an opening round 303 and is tied for sixth place at the 2019 Patsy Rendleman Invitational. The Pioneers are nine shots behind tournament host Catawba College, who lead with 297.
The Tusculum duo of Jennifer Keim and Yen Xuan Ong are tied for 11th place after shooting 74 on the Country Club of Salisbury course.
Lenoir-Rhyne and Limestone are tied for second place with 298, while Mount Olive is fourth with 301 and Queens University of Charlotte is fifth with 302. Tusculum and UNC Pembroke are tied for sixth with 303, followed by Coker (304), Lander (306), Montevallo (309), Anderson (309), Young Harris (314), Belmont Abbey (315), Erskine (319), King (323) and North Greenville (325).
TU's Taylor Gransen is tied for 31st place with 77, while Olivia Cunningham came in tied for 40th with her 78. Bianca Findlay shot 80 and is tied for 58th place to comprise the Tusculum scoring.
The two-day, 36-hole tournament will wrap up on Tuesday with the final round on the par-72, 5,973-yard layout.
