
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- For the first time in school history Tusculum College will be hosting the South Atlantic Conference Women's Golf Championship. The three-day, 54-hole golf tournament will be held Apr. 9-11, 2017 at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville.
Eighteen (18) holes will be played each day beginning at 8:30 a.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
Eleven (11) colleges and universities will be competing for the 2017 SAC title, including Tusculum, Anderson University, Brevard College, Carson-Newman University, Catawba College, Coker College, Lenoir-Rhyne University, Lincoln Memorial University, Newberry College, Queens University of Charlotte and Wingate University.
Link Hills has served as the golf venue for women's collegiate championships in the past. In 2002, it was the site of the NCAA Division II South Region Championship, hosted by Tusculum. It also hosted the NAIA Women's National Championship in 2011 and 2012.
This marks the 18th year of the SAC Women's Golf Championship. Tusculum won the inaugural SAC crown in 2000, which was held in Salisbury, North Carolina. TC repeated as champions in 2001 in Newberry, South Carolina.
