Rattana and Lambertsen lead Pioneers at Day 1 of Agnes McAmis
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- Ciara Rattana and Taylor Lambertsen were the Tusculum women's golf team's low scorers at the first day of the Anges McAmis Memorial golf tournament. The Pioneers shot a 331 as a team and sit in 11th place.

The event is being held at the par 72, 5805 yard Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tennessee. Rattana carded a six-over 78 and sits in a tie for 11th in the individual standings. Lambertsen was just one stroke behind at a seven-over 79 and is tied for 13th.

Calley Lawson fired a 14-over 86 and sits in a tie for 57th, while Blythe Scrivner was the final Pioneer scorer with her 16-over 88 which is good for a tie in 64th position. Kelly Horrell matched Scrivner's same score while playing as an individual, and Alec Cunningham was two strokes back with an 18-over 90.

Lindsay Butler and Sayre Hopper also represented Tusculum as individual players. Butler carded a 19-over 91 while Hopper was 41-over at 113.

King University leads the overall standings with a total of 311 (+23) followed by Carson-Newman University (318, +30) and Lander University (320, +32) in third. Wingate University's Caitlin Starrs leads the individual standings with an even-par 72. King's Elizabeth Swallow is in second at two-over 74 while Lander's Marina Martins, Newberry's Marianna Monaco and Lander's Sophie Stone all are tied for third with a four-over 76.

The tournament will conclude tomorrow with the first groups teeing off at 9 a.m.
