SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. --- Sara Howard posted a two-day score of 155 to finish tied for 21st place at the 2013 Smoky Mountain Intercollegiate, which is being held this week at the 5,816-yard, par-72 Sevierville Golf Club - Highlands Course.

Tusculum tallied a final round 331 on Tuesday to finish 15th with a 36-hole score of 661.

Saint Leo won the team title with 591, including a second day 292 to edge runner-up Lee University (595) by four strokes. West Florida was third with 596, followed by Limestone (603), Montevallo (617), host Carson-Newman (620), Newberry (627), Lincoln Memorial (628), Wingate (639), Shorter (640), Columbus State (648), West Alabama (656), Coker (656), Catawba (660), Tusculum, Belmont Abbey (695) and Young Harris (735).

Bernadette Little of Lee captured medalist honors with her two-under par score of 142, including a three-under 69 in her final round.

Howard, a senior from Knoxville, Tenn., fired a final round 77 on Tuesday, while junior teammate Alec Cunningham shot 78-83=161 to tie for 46th place. Freshman Taylor Lambertsen was 58th with her 85-82=167, while rookie Alex Valeri posted back-to-back rounds of 89 for her 178 (T78). Freshman Lindsay Butler carded 96-89=185 to finish 85th in the individual competition. Sophomore Calley Lawson, playing as an individual competitor, shot 87-85=172 to finish 70th.

The Pioneers return to action in two weeks when they host the eighth annual Tusculum Fall Classic, Sep. 23-24 at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn. TC is the defending champion of this event as the Pioneers have won their last three tournaments held at Link Hills (2012 & 2013 Agnes McAmis Memorials and 2012 TC Fall Classic).
