Tusculum Women's golf listed in final Golfstat Report

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. --- The Tusculum College women's golf team is listed seven times statistically in the final 2012-13 Golfstat Division II report. TC finished the year ranked 39th in the nation according to the Golfstat DII head-to-head standings.

The Pioneers, who finished runner-up at the 2013 South Atlantic Conference championship, are ranked 16th in the country in subpar strokes per round (1.47). TC is also 24th in birdies (132), 32nd in par 3 scoring (3.47), 34th in scoring average (81.38), 34th in score versus par (+9.48), 35th in par 5 scoring (5.45) and 44th in par 4 scoring (4.61).

Sophomore Emee Herbert (Johns Creek, Ga.) is listed in four categories, including 32nd in scoring average (76.95), 29th in par 5 scoring (5.08), 31st in score versus par (+4.95) and 38th in par 4 scoring (4.35). Herbert, the SAC Player of the Year, finished in the top-20 in seven of her nine events this season, including five top-5 performances, including runner-up honors at the Tusculum Fall Classic, Patsy Rendleman Invitational and the Agnes McAmis Memorial. She also finished fourth at the SAC Championship and 37th at the NCAA II South Regional, where she played as an individual competitor.

Senior Jillian Corum (Knoxville, Tenn.) ended her final collegiate campaign tied for 35th in the nation in sub-par strokes per round (1.94). Corum finished second on the team with her 78.6 scoring average and earned a spot on the All-SAC first team for a second straight season. She wraps up her career with a 79.93 stroke average, which is the second lowest in program history. The 2013 SAC Women's Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year finished in the top-20 on seven occasions this season, including medalist honors at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate. It was her fifth individual career title, the most ever by a Pioneer.

In their 10 events this year, Tusculum finished third or better in seven of them, including a pair of team titles at the Tusculum Fall Classic and the McAmis Memorial.
