
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. --- Tusculum's Emee Herbert has the 19th lowest stroke average in the nation according to the latest Golfstat NCAA Division II women's statistics.
Herbert, a native of Johns Creek, Ga., is averaging 75.91 strokes per round, which is the best scoring average in the South Atlantic Conference and the sixth lowest amongst the nation's sophomores at the DII level. The Greater Atlanta Christian High School graduate is also second in the country in par five scoring (4.86) and 19th in score vs. par (+3.91).
Herbert, the 2012 South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year, has finished in the top-20 in five of her six events this season, including three top-5 performances.
Senior Jillian Corum is tied for 15th in the nation in par three scoring with a rating of 3.15. The Knoxville, Tenn. native is second on the team with her 78.7 scoring average that includes five top-20 finishes, including four in the top-five. The 2012 All-SAC first team honoree and Capital One Academic All-America® has won five tournaments during her career, including medalist honors at last year's Agnes McAmis Memorial Tournament.
As a team, the Pioneers are 15th in the country in subpar strokes per round at 1.48, which is the best average in the league.
Tusculum returns to action Apr. 8-9 when the Pioneers host the 16th annual McAmis Memorial at Link Hills Country Club. TC is the defending champion of this event as the Pioneers won with a tournament, school and South Atlantic Conference record score of 593 during the two-day, 36-hole invitational.
