LAKELAND, Fla. --- The Tusculum College Women's golf team recorded a final round 327 to finish with a 54-hole total 994 to place 11th at the 2008 Lady Moc Classic. The three-day tournament was held this week at the Cleveland Heights Golf Club and hosted by defending NCAA Division II national champion Florida Southern.

Tusculum posted improvement in each of its competitive rounds as Tuesday's round was nine shots better than Sunday and four strokes less than yesterday.

Mary Ann Vizcarrondo carded a three-day 235, including a 76 in the final round to tie for 29th place. Mandy Hartsock posted 79-86-84=249 to finish 53rd, while Emily Palenkas tallied 87-84-80=251, tying for 55th place. Adriana Vizcarrondo shot 89-83-89=261 to tie for 68th, while Susanne Sisco rounded out the scoring with 90-89-86=265 to finish 70th.

Florida Southern won the team title with 893, seven shots better than arch-rival Rollins (900). Nova Southeastern carded a 903 to finish third, followed by Barry (905), Lynn (928), West Florida (953), Northern Kentucky (956), Florida Southern "B" (967), Western New Mexico (969), Wingate (971), Tusculum, Saint Leo (995), Webber International (1004), Catawba (1027), Eckerd (1033) and Florida Tech (1047).

Florida Southern's Marianne Andersson won medalist honors with 222, edging out the quintet of Heather Burgner (Florida Southern), Surita Risseeuw (Rollins), Sandra Changkija (Nova Southeastern), RemJin Camping (Barry) and Maha Haddioui (Lynn).

Tusculum returns to action March 29th when the Pioneers face Lincoln Memorial in a Match Play event in Knoxville, Tenn.
