The Pioneers garnered 28 votes, which are tied for 33rd most of those coaches surveyed in the poll.
Defending national champion Florida Southern earned 15 first place votes and 423 total points. Rollins garnered one first place nod and 407 points and is listed second. Ferris State is third with 365 points, followed by Lynn (334), West Florida (328), Drury (319), Grand Valley State (304), Nova Southeastern (294), Barry (293) and Tarleton State (272) to round out the top 10.
South Atlantic Conference members Newberry and Catawba are listed 19th and 21st, respectively.
The Pioneers open the 2007-08 season, Sep. 10-11 when they participate in the Anderson University Invitational. Tusculum finished second in last year's event.
