Three Pioneers earn inaugural Conference Carolinas women's bowling honors

GREENVILLE, S.C. --- The Tusculum University trio of Allison Robbins, Alexa Tieto and Erin Burkart have been named to the 2022 Conference Carolinas Women's Bowling All-Conference Team.

Robbins and Tieto received All-Conference second team honors, while Burkart garnered third team accolades.

Robbins, a freshman from Flint, Michigan, finished the regular season with a 188.7 scoring average for an 18.875 per frame average which is sixth-best in Conference Carolinas. She also led the Pioneers in Baker average per frame (19.215 – 4th in CC; 192.1 avg.) and fill percentage (81.9 – 4th in CC). Her overall strike percentage of 42.1% was tops on the team and fifth in the league, while her .840 single-point spare percentage was best on the club and sixth in the league.

Tieto, a junior from Ocean, New Jersey, has a 183.7 average and is 10th in the conference with her overall fill percentage of 18.73 per frame (10th in CC). She is also 12th in individual frame fill percentage (76.5%). Her 18.994 fill percentage in traditional format games is tops on the team and fifth-best on Conference Carolinas. She also leads the squad in traditional games with her 79.1 fill percentage (9th in CC). Her overall strike percentage (40.9%) is seventh in the conference and is 15th with her 80.2 single pin spare percentage.

Burkart, a senior from Marerro, Louisiana, finished the regular season 12th in the league in overall scoring average (178.0 per game average; 17.795 per frame) and 15th in overall frame fill percentage (75.7%).

The Pioneers will be competing in the inaugural Conference Carolinas – Great Midwest Conference Bowling Championship this weekend (Mar. 25-27) at Liberty Lanes in Gastonia, North Carolina.
