Pioneers compete at ISC Women's Sectional

SMYRNA, Tenn. --- Tusculum University's Allison Robbins bowled a five-game total 942 to tie for 30th place at the 2022 Intercollegiate Singles Championship Sectional Qualifier at the Smyrna Bowling Center.

Robbins opened her day with a 143 in her first game, but bounced back with a 169 in the second and bowled a career-best 263 in the third to move her name up the leaderboard. She would finish with games of 168 and 199 to finish her ISC Sectional.

Alexa Tieto finished 56th overall with 907 pins, while Erin Burkart was 58th with 905. Samantha England totaled 851 pins (101st), followed by Savannah Price (724 – 160th) and Shayna Long (713 – 163rd).

The top-six bowlers at the ISC Sectional moves' onto next month's national in Addison, Illinois (Apr. 20-23).

Advancing to nationals are Vandebilt's Amanda Naujokas who won the sectional with a total pinfall of 1,088. McKendree's Anna Warkel was second with 1,085 pins. Vanderbilt's Mabel Cummins was third with 1,064, followed by the Mount St. Mary's duo of Tamara Stanton (1062) and Rebecca Dodson (1059) who finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Emmanuel's Arianna Campbell earned the final qualifying spot with her 1,021 total, finishing four pins ahead of Rachel Hines (Mount St. Mary's).

The Pioneers will return to Smyrna next weekend for the Columbia 300 Music City Classic (Mar. 18-20).
