
JONESBORO, Ark. --- The Tusculum University women's bowling team finished 17th at the 2022 Mid-Winter Classic, which was hosted by Arkansas State University.
The Pioneers went 1-2 in Sunday's Best-of-7 Baker matches. TU lost in 4-3 in the first match of the day against Alabama A&M and then dropped a 4-1 decision to third-ranked Nebraska. But the Pioneers bounced back with a 4-2 victory in a rematch with Alabama A&M to complete the weekend 4-9 and move to 37-25 overall for the year.
Nebraska won the team title for the weekend as the Huskers went 12-1 on the weekend including a 3-0 day on Sunday with the win over Tusculum and two triumphs over Wisconsin-Whitewater.
The 18-team tournament field this weekend featured 13 nationally-ranked programs.
Tusculum returns to action next weekend (Feb. 25-27) for the Stallings Invitational in Greensboro, North Carolina.
