GREENSBORO, N.C. --- The Tusculum University women's bowling team went 2-2 on Saturday including another win over a nationally-ranked opponent as the Pioneers are tied for second place at the Stallings Invitational. The two-day tournament is being hosted by North Carolina A&T and held at the AMF All-Star Games.
The Pioneers have 4,320 total pins which are tied with Lincoln Memorial for second place after Saturday's Baker-5 Game format matches. Host and 13th-ranked North Carolina A&T leads with 5,054 pins. Tusculum and LMU are second, followed by Norfolk State (4074) and Belmont Abbey (3734) for fourth and fifth-place.
Tusculum opened the day with a 937-900 win over No. 11 Lincoln Memorial. TU lost its next two matches to Norfolk State (863-813) and the host Aggies (1004-874) before closing out day one with an 823-748 win over Belmont Abbey.
Each team will play five traditional matches on Sunday to close out the event.
