Women's Basketball to host ?Delectable Donations? Fundraiser on Wednesday

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum College women's basketball team will be hosting a "Delectable Donations" fundraiser this Wednesday night at the conclusion of the Pioneers' quarterfinal round contest of the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Tournament. The fundraiser will be held in the Pioneer Perk, located next to the lobby of Pioneer Arena.

The Pioneers, the No. 4 seed in this year's tournament, will host fifth-seeded Catawba College at 6 p.m. The Tusculum men will follow with their quarterfinal round match-up with Carson-Newman College at 8 p.m.

"Delectable Donations" is a dessert social with all proceeds going towards the family of Tusculum sophomore forward Staci Hicks (Loveland, Ohio). Staci's father, Charles Hicks, passed away on Feb. 20 at the age of 42. The Tusculum team wishes to help Staci's family with additional expenses incurred due to this tragedy.

The Pioneers would like to ask everyone for their support, donations and desserts for this very worthy cause.

There will also be a silent auction with items up for bid including audio CDs of select radio broadcasts of Tusculum basketball games this season, provided by the Pioneer Sports Network and Radio Greeneville, Inc. All proceeds of this auction will go towards the Hicks' Family.

For more information, please contact Tusculum head coach Adell Harris at (423) 636-7329 or email at aharris@tusculum.edu. For those who can't make it to Pioneer Arena on Wednesday, may mail the contributions to the attention of Coach Harris at: Tusculum College Women's Basketball, P.O. Box 5072, Greeneville, TN 37743.
