
NASHVILLE, Tenn. --- Several members of the Tusculum University indoor track and field team competed on the first day of the Vanderbilt Invitational Friday evening. The Pioneers will wrap up the two-day meet on Saturday.
MEN'S RECAP
Junior Isaiah Olson finished 13th in the 200 meters with a career-best indoor time of 22.00 seconds, putting him fifth on the Tusculum performance list in the event. Freshman Jaylen Scott was 29th in 22.63 seconds.
In the long jump, senior Joshua Stephens was 16th overall in the long jump with a mark of 6.91 meters (22 feet, 8 inches), the fifth-best jump in program history.
WOMEN'S RECAP
Junior Jahzara Hart finished eighth overall and second among non-Division I competitors in the 200 meters with a time of 24.56 seconds. Junior Shanice Cox was 13th overall and third among non-DI runners at 24.91 seconds, and junior Kiera Taylor took 27th place at 25.41 seconds.
Freshman Agustina Dittrich had the 10th-best jump in program history and placed 15th overall in the long jump at 5.16 meters (16 feet, 11 3/4 inches) with sophomore Kieley Smith taking 23rd place at 4.76 meters (15 feet, 7 1/2 inches).
