LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- The Tusculum University softball team dropped eight spots in this week's NFCA/GoRout DII Top 25 Coaches Poll, falling to 25th.

The 2025 NFCA/Go Rout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by the NFCA Division II Top 25 Poll Committee. The committee consists of 16 NCAA Division II head coaches with two representing each of the NCAA's eight regions.

Tusculum ranks in the top-25 in 16 statistical categories, including a nation-leading 117 stolen bases. The Pioneers are among the top-10 in triple plays (2nd; 1), runs (5th; 275), hits (6th; 363), stolen bases per game (6th; 3.08), runs batted in (7th; 238), and scoring (8th; 7.24). TU is also listed in win-loss percentage (11th; .816), triples (11th; 17), batting average (12th; .348), RBI per game (12th; 6.26), doubles (17th; 64), on-base percentage (19th; .415), sacrifice flies (19th; 15), triples per game (21st; .45), and slugging percentage (22nd; .516).

Individually, Danielle Jason leads the Division II with 39 steals. She also ranks sixth in steals per game (1.03), seventh in runs (45), 12th in hits (56), 16th in runs per game (1.18), and 18th in sacrifice bunts per game (.29). Brooke Smith is fourth in runs (48) and seventh in both hits (59) and runs per game (1.26). Smith is also 16th in steals (28) and 22 in batting average (.472). Ellie Alvarez (12th in runs; 43), Gabi Nicholson (16th in RBI; 42), and Sammy Jimenez (21st in RBI; 40) are also ranked. In the circle, Megan Ackerman is top-25 in walks per seven innings (.66), ninth in wins (15), ninth in strikeout-to-walk ratio (9.00), 12th in appearances (25), and 23rd in saves (3). Natalie Spaitis is second with five saves, while Dani Beckham has hit just one batter, tying her for first.

Tusculum (31-7, 10-6 SAC) is at Mars Hill this afternoon for a doubleheader and hosts No. 8 North Georgia on Wednesday (Apr. 2) for a noon two-game tilt.
