GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- For her impressive performance in the diamond last week, Chloe Freischmidt has been named by two organizations as their Player of the Week. She was honored by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) and South Atlantic Conference.

These laurels mark the second time Freischmidt has been awarded by the SAC and the third player in recorded program history mentioned by the TSWA.

Freischmidt, a senior from Naples, Florida, led the Pioneers to a perfect 4-0 week as she posted a .583 batting average with three home runs, two doubles and eight RBI. She was also hit by a pitch, drew a walk and finished the week with a 1.4167 slugging percentage.

She opened the week going 4-for-5 with two home runs and six RBI in a doubleheader sweep over Bluefield State. She scored five runs in the two games. She followed with a 3-for-7 performance in a sweep of Southern Wesleyan. She scored two runs in each game while hitting a double and a home run in the final game of the week, tallying her 100th career RBI.

Freischmidt is batting .339 this season and is third on the roster with her 14 RBI. The Pioneers are 11-8 overall and have won five of their last six contests.
