
Tusculum College designated player Jenna Restivo has been named
to the 2016 NCAA Division II Academic All-District 3 Softball team
as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America
(CoSIDA).
Restivo, a junior from Alpharetta, Georgia, has a 3.42 cumulative
grade point average while majoring in sport management. She
advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot, which will
be announced later this month.
Restivo batted .270 with a home run and 16 runs batted in for the
Pioneers in 42 games (29 starts). She had seven doubles to tie for
second on the team, and was tied for fourth on the squad with 10
walks. Her .382 slugging percentage was third-best on the Pioneers,
while her .353 on-base percentage ranked her second on the team.
Restivo had five multi-hit games for the Pioneers, and was third on
the team with three games with multiple runs batted in. As a
pinch-hitter, she went 6-for-13 (.462) with six runs batted in.
Members of the CoSIDA NCAA II Academic All-District 3 Team are
selected from nominees representing all colleges and universities
in the South Atlantic Conference, Conference Carolinas and Peach
Belt Conference.
Tusculum finished with an overall record of 21-31 and went 6-16 in
the South Atlantic Conference during the 2016 season.
