Alberto Chiaparini was named a graduate assistant coach with the Tusculum men's volleyball program in August 2022. He was promoted to director of volleyball operations in August 2023. Chiaparini was tagged as the head coach of both the indoor and beach squads ahead of the 2024-25 season.

In his first season as indoor head coach, the Pioneers shattered the program's single-season wins record (15), becoming the first team to reach double-digit victories. His first victory came against Erskine on January 17, while also knocking off North Greenville, Belmont Abbey, Charleston, and Catawba for the first time. Deklan Wingo had a monumental season, racking up IVA Offensive Player of the Week (twice), AVCA National Player of the Week, IVA All-Tournament, IVA Player of the Year, IVA All-Conference first team, TU Male Athlete of the Year, and AVCA All-America honorable mention. He became the first in program history to reach 1,000 kills, while leading the country in attacks per set (10.11), kills per set (5.05), and points per set (5.77). Morgan Makovec earned IVA second team honors as well as an IVA Offensive Player of the Week laurel. Taylor West also became the first to reach 500 career digs. In the classroom, men's volleyball had eight student-athletes named to the TU Fall Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

As a graduate assistant, he was responsible in assisting in the day-to-day operations with the TU program including practice organization, recruiting, player development, NCAA compliance, scheduling, budgeting and academic advisement.

The Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil native was a standout outside hitter at Bluefield (Va.) College where he was the 2019 Mid-South Conference Player of the Year while leading the NAIA nationally in total kills. He was a three-time All-Conference selection (2018, 2019, 2021) earning All-Southeast Athletic Conference second team laurels in his freshman season (2018) and posted All-MSC first team recognition in 2019 and 2021. He was also a 2019 MSC All-Academic Team selection.

He graduated with cum laude honors from Bluefield with his Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education, as well as exercise and sports science.
