GREENEVILLE, Tenn. --- The Tusculum University men's tennis team will open up its fall schedule this weekend when the Pioneers travel to Lincoln Memorial University for the first of three tournaments this fall.

Tusculum will compete in tournament play at Lincoln Memorial Friday and Saturday, Sept. 15-16 and at Carson-Newman Oct. 13-14, along with the ITA Southeast Regional at Sumter, South Carolina Sept. 22-25.

The Pioneers will also play a pair of dual matches during October, traveling to Milligan on Thursday, Oct. 5 and hosting North Greenville on Saturday, Oct. 21.

First-year head coach Tim Dunford returns two All-South Atlantic Conference performers from last year's squad, which finished 17-7 overall and second place in the SAC with an 11-1 league record. The Pioneers advanced to the SAC Championship match and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Senior Nemanja Subanovic (Subotica, Serbia) and junior Marco Jalalian (Hannover, Germany) were a first-team All-SAC doubles pairing, going 13-8 as a duo while playing at flight one. Subanovic was 14-11 in singles last season and was second-team All-SAC, while senior Ivan Ivars (Alicante, Spain) had a 10-7 singles record during 2022-23.
