HILTON HEAD, S.C. --- The Tusculum College men's tennis team didn't drop a single set in a 9-0 victory over Millersville University on Monday in the first of three-straight matches at the Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Club.

The Pioneers (6-0) swept through singles play against Millersville (0-3), and Jonas Winkelmann, Leon Seiz and Joseph Elphingstone didn't drop a game in their respective victories. Jonas Winkelmann defeated Tucker Mertz in the three position, while Seiz was victorious over Pearson Clary at number five. Elphingstone won his season debut over Christian Boyer in the sixth flight.

Twelfth-ranked Lukas Winkelmann rolled past Jody Sambrick Jr. by a 6-1, 6-3 score in the top position, while Nicolas Planchard defeated Kevin Tran at number two (6-3, 6-4). Tashique Kader also picked up a victory after beating Dylan Ryan in the five spot (6-3, 6-2).

In doubles play, Lukas and Jonas Winkelmann knocked off Sambrick Jr. and Tran in the first flight (8-4), while Kader and Seiz blanked Mertz and Ryan 8-0 in the second spot. David Siegle and Toby de Klerk were victorious over Niko Mucci and Anthony Jadus in the third position (8-3).

The Pioneers will be back in action tomorrow morning against Bloomsburg University at 8 a.m.
