Host Lincoln Memorial University swept singles action in an 8-1
victory over Tusculum College Saturday afternoon in a South
Atlantic Conference men's tennis matchup.
The Railsplitters (12-3, 6-2 SAC) dropped just one set in singles
play against the Pioneers (10-9, 4-4 SAC) to come away with the
victory in a match rescheduled from Thursday due to rain.
Tusculum's lone point came in the flight two doubles match, where
the team of Steven Lin and Paul Wiederspahn defeated Marcelo Alvim
and Will Sparks by a 9-8 score, winning the tiebreaker 7-4.
The Pioneers will close out their regular season Tuesday at 1:30
p.m. at the Nichols Tennis Complex against Brevard. Tusculum will
host Senior Day that afternoon, and will recognize Lin and fellow
senior Drew Kiser prior to the match.
