Tusculum College rallied from a 4-1 deficit to defeat Mars Hill College 5-4 in a South Atlantic Conference men's tennis match Friday afternoon at the Nichols Tennis Complex.

The Pioneers (10-8, 4-3 SAC) swept the final four singles matches to come away with the victory over the Lions (6-9, 2-4 SAC), capped by a comeback victory at flight four by Paul Wiederspahn that wrapped up the win.

Wiederspahn dropped the first set to Guilherme Lima by a 6-3 score, but came back to win the final two sets 6-1 and 6-4 in the last match of the afternoon to give Tusculum its second straight victory.

A 6-0, 6-2 victory at flight six by Stefan Vergeer over Zach High cut the Lion lead to 4-3, and Steven Lin tied the match with a 6-2, 6-3 win at flight five over Michael Melvill.

Mars Hill jumped to a 2-1 lead after doubles play, with Tusculum's lone point coming at flight three where Drew Kiser and John Taylor shut out Melvill and High by a score of 8-0.
