Tusculum men blank Westminster 9-0 to wrap up Hilton Head trip

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. --- The Tusculum College men's tennis team blanked Westminster College (Pa.) 9-0 Wednesday morning to wrap up the Pioneers' spring break trip to the Palmetto State.

The Pioneers (5-5) have won four of their last five matches and will open South Atlantic Conference play next Friday (Mar. 16) as Tusculum travels to Newberry College for a 2 p.m. match. Westminster falls to 0-5 on the season.

Tusculum swept through doubles play, sparked by the 8-0 pro set victory by the No. 1 team of Lukas Winkelmann and Steven Lin as they defeated Nathan Huber and Michael Matisi.

TC did not drop a set in singles play as Tony Bujana, Luis Zamora, Stefan Vergeer, Drew Kiser, Joseph Elphingstone and Grant Parker all recorded straight set victories.
