No. 44 Northern Kentucky sends Pioneers to 7-2 loss

HILTON HEAD, S.C. --- Powered by a sweep of singles play, No. 44 Northern Kentucky University claimed a 7-2 victory over Tusculum College in non-conference men's tennis action Tuesday morning.

The Norsemen (8-2) lost just one singles set to the Pioneers (4-5) in the match, coming at number four singles where Steven Lin took the first set 6-3 from Andre Correa.

In doubles play, Lin teamed with Paul Wiederspahn for a 9-8 (7-5) victory over Guillaume Berman and Martin Leroy at flight two. At flight three, Drew Kiser and John Taylor downed Correa and Drew Schroeder 8-6.

The Pioneers wrap up their Hilton Head trip Wednesday morning against Westminster, beginning at 8:00 a.m.
