
HARROGATE, Tenn. --- The Lincoln Memorial University men's tennis team defeated visiting Tusculum College 7-2 Friday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference action.
The Railsplitters (12-1, 6-0 SAC) remain in first place in the conference, while the Pioneers (13-3, 5-2 SAC) have their four-match winning streak halted.
LMU swept doubles play, including an 8-4 pro set win at the third flight by Zack Jones and Gabor Heredi-Szabo over Gui Carvalho and Drew Kiser.
The Railsplitters also got singles wins by Hannes Ganss, Philipp Hoffmann, Heredi-Szabo and Tom Goossens.
Tusculum got its two points at No. 3 and No. 5 singles as Steven Lin and Kiser were victorious, respectively.
The Pioneers return home on Tuesday to host Stillman College at the Nichols Tennis Complex. It will be Senior Night for Tusculum.
