ROCK HILL, S.C. --- Tusculum College's Luis Zamora has been named the South Atlantic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week.

Zamora, a freshman from Santiago, Chile, tallied a pair of points in the Pioneers' 9-0 win over Milligan College in Saturday's spring opener.

Zamora defeated Milligan's Ricky Jones, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. He and No. 1 doubles partner Henrique Rodrigues also knocked off Jones and Wesley Rice, 8-1 in pro sets.

Zamora is 2-2 in singles play this year and a perfect 4-0 in doubles competition.

The Pioneers (4-0) return home on Saturday when they host the University of Virginia's College at Wise for a noon match at the Nichols Tennis Complex.
